The Attractions
Along with the Piaggio Vespa, Innocenti's Lambretta made two-wheeled transport accessible to the masses in war-torn Italy. These scooters became cultural icons in the 1960s as part of the 'mod' movement and, as such, are still highly collectible today. The Lambretta J50 was particularly affordable, with its 50 cc two-stroke engine. Offered in a variety of modern and eye-catching colours to appeal to the teenagers of the 1960s, it achieved great success.
It has been beautifully preserved and always kept in the garage. The scooter comes with its original registration document and is efficient after a service and tune-up. The seat has been reupholstered and comes with spare wheel, wheel cover and original mat.

History and Documentation
- Built in 1966
- Equipped with original registration certificate
- Purchased by the current owner in 2019 from a collector who had bought it from the first owner 20 years earlier
- Currently not registered with the Automotoclub Storico Italiano
Conditions
- Extremely original and unrestored
- Free of corrosion as it has been garage kept and very rarely used

Mechanics
- Single-cylinder 50 cc two-stroke engine
- Three-speed manual gearbox
- A tune-up was carried out with a spark plug replacement and carburettor cleaning
- Brake, gear and clutch cables have been replaced
- The seller reports that the scooter is in working order but could benefit from a brake tune-up
- For safety reasons, we recommend having the general mechanical condition, brakes and clutch checked by a specialist workshop due to the long period of non-use.
