The Appeal

1984 was the final model year for the Series III Land Rover, marking the end of the leaf-sprung era that had begun in 1948. This very late petrol-engined Series III 88" was registered in January 1984 and has since had a total of just seven registered keepers.

If you're on the lookout for a classic that can handle the colder months, this Series III would certainly fit the bill. It received a great deal of work back in February 2025 after discovering corrosion to the floor, bulkhead and front portion of the chassis. With the front of the Land Rover professionally stripped, repaired and refinished to a good standard before the fitment of new doors and a full respray in its original scheme, it now presents exceedingly well while retaining a gentle patina as befits its age and nature.

Exempt from road tax and MOT, ready to enjoy, this Land Rover would be just the thing for a spot of off-road enjoyment and runs too and from the pub laden with family, friends and hounds.
