The Appeal
Hand-built in Crewe and powered by the excellent 5.4-litre BMW V12 engine, the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph was the first all-new Rolls-Royce in over 30 years and the first to be built under BMW's ownership. We shouldn't give BMW all the credit, as the development was completed by the previous parent company, Vickers, shortly before Rolls-Royce was sold.
Launched in 1998, the Silver Seraph brought Rolls-Royce into the modern era with its BMW-sourced all-alloy V12 engine and advanced electronics, while maintaining the handcrafted luxury and presence expected of the brand. This first-year example has been in the hands of a knowledgeable enthusiast since 2021, being their third Silver Seraph owned. It has been serviced yearly at both Hanwells and Nigel Sandell and comes with an advisory-free MOT.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
