The Appeal
Produced at the height of the team's success, the Honda Civic VTi Jordan was a special edition of 500 cars built to celebrate the partnership between Jordan Grand Prix and engine supplier Honda. Resplendent in the iconic Jordan yellow livery, complete with vinyl stickers and a bespoke Team Hornet interior, this limited-run version of Honda's well-regarded VTEC-engined EK4 Civic VTi proved highly sought after in its day. And with team founder and F1 legend Eddie Jordan having recently passed away, this car coming to market is a fitting tribute.
The vendor tells us:
"The reason I bought this car was so I could give it my personal touch in the TLC it required. The car had no aftermarket modifications and had not been messed with by racers or abused. I was attracted to it more by its low miles and the fact that it had only two private owners.
"I have been an F1 fan since the early '90s. This car is the ultimate collector's item in regards to Formula 1 memorabilia, with the team hornet embroidered on the interior carpets and seats and the yellow paint matching the race car.
"It's a constant reminder that this was part of the Jordan team, which made history in Formula 1. No individual has ever created an F1 team and won races. The late Eddie Jordan and his staff were the first and last team to do it. All teams are created and backed by manufacturers. This team still operates today from Silverstone as the Aston Martin team."
Recent work, including a thorough mechanical overhaul and professional detailing, ensures that this Civic not only looks the part but also performs as it should. Its unmodified state and low ownership history make it worthy of any collection.image.png4.29 MB
