CONDITION SUMMARY:
· Engine: Excellent, 40, 000 miles, plenty of power with very low oil consumption
· Gearbox: Superb – quiet, synchro working 100%, 85, 000 miles (original unit was replaced by professionally-rebuilt example in 1993)
· Chassis: SLC galvanised - good British steel and as solid as a rock.
· Running gear: main parts all original and all fault-free, king-pins and steering lever arms replaced at approx 120, 000 miles (always greased obsessively), shocks replaced 4, 000 miles ago, new handbrake cables fitted 2009, New tyres.
· Seats: clean, original and not in bad shape for their age
· Roof: Original red roof was replaced with a black Citroen original in 1992. Good condition with no leaks.
· Electrics 100% - alternator, headlights, wiper motor and spindles, starter and ignition coil all replaced during past 4, 000 miles. In addition to standard horn, triple air-horns are also fitted – essential on mountain roads.
