Introduced in 1929 to appeal to owners who also drove their cars, the Rolls-Royce 20/25 was produced for seven years and became the company’s most successful inter-war model, helping to ensure its survival through the Great Depression. Like its predecessors, the car was fitted with bodies from some of the most prestigious coachbuilders of the era

This 1935 example features a saloon body by renowned coachbuilders Thrupp and Maberly. Its black and cream exterior, with cream wire wheels, retains its shine and all chrome components present very well. The spare wheel is mounted to the right of the engine compartment, and there is a period-correct rear luggage box.
 
In the front of the cabin, the black leather upholstery and wooden dashboard and door cappings show patina, including creasing to the leather. The rear has been well-maintained, and features cream cloth seats and trim, wooden door cappings, maroon carpet and lower door trim, as well as fold-out individual middle row seats to accommodate extra passengers when required. The front and rear compartments are separated by a glass dividing screen.
 
The car was restored in the early 2000s, and served as a wedding car for several years, during which time it was well-maintained. It was purchased in 2023 and is stated to have been kept In dry storage since then. The seller states that this car works well; it is now time for a new custodian to enjoy its considerable style and charms.
