The Appeal
These late-1980s Landies, built before the model was officially renamed the Defender, are a much-desired transition model. All of the purity in the original design is there, with the same rugged, mechanical simplicity, while remaining oh-so-pleasingly analogue and straightforward. Those factors make for a deeply popular classic, and the Ninety is still highly sought after.
This 1987 car has had plenty of money put into it, with the most recent invoice covering over £900 of work. The original transmission has been replaced with an R380 short bellhousing gearbox conversion, which has resulted in an all-the-more drivable car. Uprated Puma doors and handles have also been fitted, while the interior retains its factory-style three-seat configuration, preserving the period character. It's a finely presented, deeply capable classic that we're sure will impress its lucky new keeper.image.png1.65 MB
