The Appeal

The Cinquecento firmly rebooted Fiat’s brilliant little city car for a modern audience. The Sporting exploited the car’s nimble and extremely chuckable character, and it is widely regarded as one of the best mini hot hatches to emerge from Italy over the last 30 years.

This 1995 Sporting takes things to another level. It is one of fewer than 100 cars to receive the GK3 treatment by legendary Rome tuning house Giannini. Established in 1927, the firm was a close rival of Abarth, notching up Mille Miglia wins in a run of specially built sports cars. The GK3 kit for the Cinquecento added a tasteful body kit, alloys, a sports exhaust and a custom interior. As you can see in the photos, it’s nicely done and adds to the understated drama of these little cars.

This car is now registered in France and has covered only 111,000 km in its 31 years. It carries FFVE and ASI registration. The buyer will need to refresh the Controle Technique, but once done, this looks like an entertaining and hugely rewarding pocket sports car.
