The Appeal
BMW’s M Sport Z cars have always been the characterful, high-revving, tyre-smoking riposte to more sober-suited alternatives like the Boxster and 911. The Z4M refined the package with more modern, chiselled styling and, thankfully, the S54 3.2L straight six powerhouse carried over from the Z3M and borrowed from the E46 M3.
Just 1,054 Z3M coupes were built in RHD so this very smart Titan Silver car is a rare treat for the many enthusiasts of these exciting cars. It is in very good order, including the Imola Red interior, helped by the low mileage and low keepers from new. The vendor tells us that it is a very reluctant sale brought about only by the need to fund a GT3.
The car began its life on the Isle of Man before transferring to the UK mainland in 2015. The history file shows regular attention to February 2026, since when the car has covered few miles. The current MOT runs to January 2027 with no advisories.
As an antidote to more modern, technology-driven sports cars, the well-regarded Z4M is hard to beat. Here is a very good example with impressive history.

Having also owned a 992 C2S alongside the Z4M, it’s really highlighted just how special this car is. Going from the Z4M into the 911, the 911 can almost feel clinical by comparison. The Z4M is raw, exciting and wonderfully connected — you feel like you’re genuinely part of the driving experience rather than simply along for the ride. And then there’s that engine and the sound it makes; it’s something modern cars just struggle to replicate. Since owning the Z4M, I’ve found myself saying “old is gold”, and this car is exactly why. It has so much character and occasion about it, and I honestly think cars from this era represent something we’re unlikely to see again. The only reason I’m selling is to release the funds to change my 992 C2S for an older-generation GT3. After experiencing the Z4M, I’ve realised that what I really want is another car from this era — something with that same rawness, character and sense of connection. It’s a very reluctant sale, and if circumstances allowed, the Z4M would absolutely be staying.”
