A wonderfully honest and increasingly hard-to-find 1998 Land Rover Defender 110 County, powered by the legendary 2. 5L 300TDi diesel engine and paired with the dependable 5-speed manual gearbox.
Finished in arguably the most desirable colour combination of Dark Green Metallic with the contrasting OEM County White roof, this Defender is complemented by its original County cloth interior. Having covered just 72k miles from new and benefitting from only three former keepers, it represents an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire a highly original example. Supplied with an MOT until April 2027, its original handbook pack, manuals, maintenance file and V5.
Cosmetically, the vehicle wears its years honestly. The vast majority of the bodywork remains original, displaying the expected marks, scratches and occasional dents accumulated over nearly three decades. The only notable cosmetic work is a recent repaint of the roof in the correct OEM White finish.
It sits on a matching set of BFGoodrich tyres with excellent tread, giving the vehicle a purposeful stance that suits it perfectly.
Inside, you’ll find traditional rear bench seating, manual windows, factory sunroof, centre console, Webasto heater, upgraded Pioneer audio system, 12V socket and the original steering wheel. The fabric seats remain in good order with only minimal wear.
Mechanically, the Defender has recently benefitted from a new clutch kit, flywheel, clutch fork, release bearing and rear main oil seal. The 300TDi starts instantly and runs well. However, a recent inspection has highlighted a slight oil leak and coolant leak (typical defender stuff really) and therefore is offered on a project basis.
Overall, this is a hugely original, low-mileage County 110 with desirable ownership history and excellent provenance. As it has not undergone our usual retail preparation and inspection process, and does not meet our usual cosmetic standards, it is offered strictly on a spares or repairs basis. Viewing advised.
