.... DEPOSIT TAKEN >>> Power, Beauty and Soul … Aston Martin’s glossy brochure exclaimed, some believe its perfect proportions make its Vantage the best-looking Aston ever made! The later 4. 7 V8 Vantage new for 2009 was actually released in the final quarter of 2008 and this Roadster would have been one of the first registered 1st October. ‘Designed for speed and athleticism, it is an object of desire that exudes functionalism and purpose while retaining a sculptural beauty’ the copy writer waxes lyrical but there is no doubt the Roadster manages to retain an aggressive stance with uninterrupted lines from nose to rear spoiler. Aston’s VH platform provides the rigidity that is not always apparent in a convertible and they claimed a Nürburgring testing regime contributed to perfect weight distribution ensuring the total package offers the ultimate in performance with handling and brakes to match.
Country Classic Cars have been chosen to market this model year 2009 V8 Vantage Roadster on behalf of the current (4th) owner. It features a driver focussed rear mounted manual six speed transmission, alloy torque tube with carbon-fibre propeller shaft, a Limited-slip differential resulting in a final-drive ratio 3. 909:1. The heart of the beast is Aston’s incredible all-alloy, quad overhead camshaft, 32-valve, 4735 cc V8, front mid-mounted RWD with fully catalysed stainless steel exhaust system and active bypass valves. Max power 313 kW (420 bhp/ 426 PS) at 7300 rpm / Max torque 470 Nm (346 lb ft) at 5000 rpm Performance figures of 0-60 mph in 4. 7 seconds and a max speed 290 km/ h (180 mph). Finished in Toro red with Sahara tan carpets plus leather interior with fine obsidian black hand stitching and Piano black facia trim. The hood exterior is black with a light tan lining and stows neatly beneath the aluminium rear tonneau cover, can be deployed in just 18 seconds and at speeds of up to 50 km/ h (30 mph). Obviously, this Roadster is heavily spec’d with a long list of standard safety features including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Rear parking sensors, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Positive Torque Control (PTC), Traction Control which complement the 4 piston calipers (Grey) and 355mm ventilated discs (Fr) 330mm (Rr). At Country Classic Cars we find it’s best to present a detailed write up of any classic we are requested to sell, presenting both the good and bad aspects. This helps to avoid ‘buyer’s remorse’ especially for those purchasing from abroad or interested parties travelling distances to view. It goes without saying any potential buyer should expect any Aston Martin to present well and this example certainly does not disappoint. That said, on careful examination we noted three small stone chips to the bonnet front edge plus a small issue where we feel something has caught the paint during hood retraction, also light wear on the driver’s outer seat bolster; these small defects are best viewed via our short video. Beneath the bonnet is not only impressive but also heavy braced and clean with engine builders’ plaque front and centre. What’s it like to drive? This roadster guarantees every outing is an experience. It takes little time before getting ‘back to basics’ and making the most of the 6-speed manual, the clutch is firm and progressive but not heavy as one might expect whilst the shift is precise with a short throw. The key slots into the dash and the additional push produces a wonderful bark from the motor as it fires up; this also negates the need to try out the in-car audio. The exhaust note is best admired with the roof lowered enjoying the A-roads of the South Downs; the sports pack ensuring improved body control and more pilot feedback. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster (Intensity. Driven.) … is the time now right for you to immerse yourself within the heritage of Britain’s finest sports car?
Prior to sale this Vantage will enjoy a pre-sales inspection within our workshops also four new Pirelli tyres will be fitted and a fresh MOT plus the complete dealer pack.
