Description
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1988, the Porsche 911 type 964 is the third generation of the model, retaining an air-cooled flat-six engine, along with its distinctive frog-eye look with its front headlights. It came in 2 versions, the first from 1989 to 1992, and the second from 1992 to 1994. It was a huge success for the brand, with nearly 64, 000 cars produced.
The Porsche 964 was also the first Porsche 911 to be offered with four-wheel drive from 1989 onwards, a technology already tested at the time on the legendary Porsche 959, no less…
It would be replaced by the Porsche type 993, whose styling didn't differ all that much…
NYC's/ OXOTO is offering here a very fine example of the Porsche 964 Carrera 4 (so four-wheel drive) delivered new in October 1990 in Düsseldorf, Germany, currently showing just under 254, 000 km, in dark blue (midnight blue), grey leather interior. It's truly a magnificent colour combination.
Since 2004, it has belonged to the same Belgian owner, with first registration in Belgium in December 2006 (178, 751 km at that time). The latter has really enjoyed it, so we have a linear mileage progression (which is perfect for the mechanics) but above all an enormous file of invoices, reports, documents, etc… (see our website).
The bodywork presents well, but isn't perfect. Note fine stone chips on the front end, some corrosion around the windscreen trim, and 2 small impacts barely visible (bonnet and door).
The interior presents very well. The leather on the seats and gear knob shows fine wear consistent with the car's age, but this doesn't require repair in our view. Everything else is truly immaculate: dashboard, headlining, door panels, carpets, etc…
Note that the rear wing doesn't raise automatically but is functional via the button on the dashboard. The front bonnet struts need replacing.
Mechanically, we have a very substantial file of invoices (from the official dealer and specialist marque specialists), plus its original service booklet with numerous stamps. We can confirm it runs beautifully, having covered 200 km to reach our premises. Furthermore, the owner carried out major servicing before delivering it (invoice available on our website).
The latest MOT report dates from August 2026 (253, 045 km) and mentions no technical issues.
We also have two expert reports, one from 2015, the other from 2021, both confirming the excellent condition of this Porsche 964. Moreover, the latest report confirms it has its original engine!
On top of all this, we have both original Porsche keys, the technical manual, and excellent mileage history via Car Pass.
Our asking price takes into account the minor faults mentioned; this is a Porsche that has been driven and is intended for someone who won't hesitate to drive it further.
