The Appeal
Since its first appearance on the market at the Milan Fair in 1946, the Vespa scooter has been synonymous with the Italian dolce vita. With their simple, easy-to-maintain mechanics and distinctive art deco bodywork, these scooters were strongly inspired by aeronautical designs - and quickly won the hearts of the public.
Many celebrities, from Audrey Hepburn to John Wayne, have been seen on a Vespa, and this utilitarian motorbike has become a symbol of fashion and freedom.
This vintage model has been given the VIP treatment it deserves. Sandblasted down to its bare shell, it has been varnished to preserve its natural metallic patina and given a replacement engine - as well as many new parts.
