The Appeal
Fine-tuned by Paul Bracq from Friedrich Geiger’s Heckflosse saloon, the upmarket and supremely stylish W111 Coupé and Cabriolet were aimed at the wealthiest motorists of the day. Both sold well among the rich and famous the world over, and this 1963 example hails from sunny California USA.
Imported by the previous keeper in 2020, this 220SE has undergone significant work since arriving in the UK, including an extensive interior retrim and thorough mechanical overhaul. As a result, it is said to be running and driving very well indeed, with no apparent faults to report. It’s now UK road registered, exempt from road tax and MOT testing and complete with all invoices amassed during recent years.
For those seeking a very smart example of this much-lauded classic Mercedes, this would be a fabulous candidate to fill the empty space in your garage.
