The Appeal

In 1965, the 7th generation Cadillac's long-running flagship, the Eldorado, gained 'Fleetwood' designation, and dropped the Biarritz name. It was characteristic of the company's seemingly enduring dedication to confusing nomenclature - humorously, for one of the most standardised cars in the Eldorado's history.

With sharp styling and distinctive tailfins, the new Fleetwood Eldorado nonetheless was packed with the familiar, muscular engines that had made their cars such a force to be reckoned with, and offered only one power unit - the tried, tested and utterly enormous 429cuin OHV V8. That's a 7.0L Capacity with around 340hp!

This particular example has been well-maintained and restored. This includes the interior, which offers to wrap the driver in a wonderful, evocative, and stylish ride. A fresh coat of paint applied a few years ago has kept the car looking almost as fresh as it did leaving the production line.
