The entry level to Alfa Romeo's illustrious coupé range, the GT 1300 Junior first hit the market in 1965. Famously styled by a 19-year-old Giorgetto Giugiaro, the Alfa Romeo GT junior became one of the most desirable cars of the late Sixties and early Seventies - it carried an emboldened, youthful personality that was only exemplified further by that 1290cc Twin-Cam under the bonnet.
This particular example has been meticulously restored and upgraded with a 1,600cc engine from an Alfa Romeo Giulia, enhancing its performance while maintaining its original charm. The bodywork has been thoroughly sanded, welded where necessary, and repainted in the original colour. This tallies up to a significant investment of €25,000 in restoration and upgrades, all creating a highly prestigious example of a much-loved Italian classic.
History and Paperwork
Built in 1969 and originally registered in Macerata, Italy an registered in 1970
Later moved to Ancona, followed by Napoli and Pordenone
