The Appeal
The Series 2 brought together a raft of improvements to the original E-Type to make these later cars more usable and comfortable than their predecessors. Most went overseas, which explains why just 776 OTS cars like this Signal Red 1970 car were registered in RHD.
It is a great find for E-Type enthusiasts. The vendor describes it as highly original and tells us that there is “no rust whatsoever.” We’re told it is a matching numbers example - rare for a Series 2 car - and it has been with the previous keeper since 1992. Following a period of limited use, it has been carefully recommissioned for sale.
The car is said to run and drive well with good oil pressure. It is fitted with a stainless steel exhaust. The Series 2 is the E-Type for those who like to use their Jaguar icons, and this very genuine example looks ready to enjoy.
The vendor says:
“This is absolutely very genuine honest car fresh came out to the market after 30+ years. Car is is good condition no known issues, except very minor age related marks here and there.”
