The Appeal
The original Silver Shadow reinvented what a Rolls-Royce meant to buyers. Where previous cars had been aimed at chauffeur-driven customers, this one was designed for owner-drivers. It was so successful that its ultra smooth underpinnings remained in production well into the 1990s.
Early cars retained the slim, stylish chrome bumpers, features that make good examples of these models sought after. This Silver Shadow is an early one, built in July 1970 and finished in a very fetching combination of light metallic blue paintwork and dark blue interior.
Carrying USA title but equipped with European import documents - all duties and VAT have been paid - this is a very stylish example of one of classic motoring’s most hirsute cars.
