The Appeal
Chevrolet’s K5 Blazer was the all-terrain truck that was as stylish as it was capable. Available with a huge range of engines, its mix of two-tone paintwork, chrome embellishments and four-seater practicality made it the truck of choice for suburbanites as well as country folk.
Despite its run-away popularity, survivors in standard, unmolested condition are rare. This is one of them, a purposeful four seater pick up that has recently benefitted from a comprehensive bodywork and mechanical overhaul.
Supplied in factory correct trim – the only enhancements are those big all-terrain rims and tyres – this is a great opportunity to discover one of America’s most evocative trucks. It’s practical too, with four seats, big load bed and the choice of open or closed top.

From 1973 the K5 Blazer got revised bodywork that modernised the look and added all-important chrome to the front and sides. This stylish example is in one of the most appealing colour combinations, which has recently been extensively renovated.
It is fresh from a respray in the original colour scheme. This also included fitting the stylish rims and centre caps and the big all-terrain tyres. The decals and body trim were also refreshed at the same time.
The interior has also received attention including re-upholstering the seats. Some interior elements are original – such as the dashboard and dials – but are in presentable and lightly patinated condition.

3spd automatic gearbox with column shift
Engine and gearbox rebuilt by previous owner prior to 2022
The Blazer was available with a vast range of V8 engines and this one appears to be fitted with the 350 5.7 litre motor mated to a three speed automatic with column shift. Unfortunately we do not have any information on the service or maintenance record of this vehicle but are told that the engine and gearbox were rebuilt by the previous owner. The current owner acquired the vehicle in December 2022.
