The Appeal
The Series 3 is the E-Type to choose if you want to use and enjoy your car. The longer wheelbase offers a more comfortable ride and allows for larger doors and a higher roofline, making these later models much easier to access. And of course, there's that silky-smooth V12 engine.
This 1973 dark blue car with manual gearbox is one of the finest we've seen in a long time. That's largely down to its long-term owner, who has spent considerable sums to deliver the car you see in the photos. Work began in 2008 with a £55,000 restoration covering virtually every area of the car, with further work in 2013 totalling over £16,000, including servicing, brakes, differential, suspension, air conditioning and electrics. In December 2025, the car received further attention, covering bodywork and paint restoration costing nearly £14,000.
The elegant exterior is complemented by a well-preserved red leather interior. This well-equipped and substantially improved late-series E-Type will appeal to enthusiasts. It is sold with a recent MOT and a recent independent assessment.

For drivers who want to enjoy the smoothness of Jaguar's remarkable V12 engine, the manual gearbox is a sensible choice that exploits the engine's remarkable torque. It can pull cleanly from 20 mph in top gear.
As shown in the photographs and details above, this car has received considerable mechanical attention. We are informed by the seller that the 43,000 miles shown on the odometer are accurate, although this has not been verified. It is sold with the transparency of a new MOT.
