The Plus

Launched in 1969 to succeed the ID, the Citroën DSuper retained the essential qualities that made the DS famous: avant-garde styling, exceptional comfort and the celebrated hydropneumatic suspension. However, it stood out thanks to simpler mechanics to operate, with its conventional manual gearbox and more conventional braking controls.

Today, the DSuper represents a particularly interesting alternative to the most prestigious versions of the DS range. It offers a driving experience very similar whilst retaining a mechanical simplicity appreciated by enthusiasts.

This 1974 example is said to have benefited from a complete restoration carried out by the son of its previous owner. According to the information provided, the work covered both the bodywork and mechanics, the hydraulic system and the interior. The vehicle comes with a history of documented expenditure totalling nearly €17,000 since 2007.

Although it has seen little use in recent years, this DSuper is described as having remained in good working order and represents a fine opportunity to access the world of the great hydropneumatic Citroëns.
