The Appeal
When Europe's largest motorbike dealer decided to improve Honda's famous 4-cylinder road bike, no one objected - quite the contrary. Racing success followed.
The 1000 VX was the latest evolution of this idea, a 970cc superbike homologated by Honda France and approved by the factory. Only 250 were built.
Here we have one of the rare and highly sought-after examples. The bike is in very good condition, with only minor wear to the frame. The engine was rebuilt in 2018 and has never been used since, so it will need to be drained and broken in.
The bike comes with two sets of fairings, the one shown in the photos and another complete Japauto racing set including seat, tank and fairing.
These bikes rarely come onto the market and this one is in excellent condition with very few kilometres. For the discerning collector!

The Mechanics
- Japauto-prepared 970cc engine producing between 85 and 100bhp
- 5-speed manual gearbox
- Mechanically, this bike is as good as new.
- The engine has been rebuilt, and the pistons, cylinders and camshaft have been changed.
- It has not been run since this work was carried out in 2018, so it will need to be overhauled and run-in
- The bike will therefore require a slight overhaul due to the lack of recent use
