Nearly identical to its predecessor - there wasn't, after all, much you could do to improve that legendary Michelotti styling - the TR5's secret was its fuel-injected I6 powerplant, which offered a huge step up in terms of performance and driving characteristics. Triumph claimed that they had created the first British production car to feature fuel injection.
The TR250 was effectively the same car - for the American market, which was still dominating Triumph's sales at the time, with 8,484 sold in their single production year before the bulkier TR6 came along.
This particular car arrived in the UK from the American market in 2010. Picked out in the model's near-synonymous shade of Signal Red, with the desirable overdrive all present and correct, This roadster has been very well maintained and now comes to us raring to hit the road with its new owner.
