Threatened by the advent of the Renault 4 - Citroën faced the stark realisation that its 2CV was an inferior car. Enter the Dyane 6 - effectively an up-market 2CV with a hatchback boot and plusher interior. While no Rolls-Royce, these modern conveniences did succeed in tempting some buyers away from the Renault 4, prolonging the life of the 2CV platform by some years.
