The Appeal
There had been four seater Ferraris before, all of them icons, all of them a chance for buyers to mix practical concerns with the emotional appeal of a classic Maranello car.
The Mondial continued that tradition, updated with crisp Pininfarina styling that cleverly hid the extra length required for the rear seats. Today these cars are garnering renewed interest as enthusiasts rediscover just how entertaining they are to drive.
This one is a very early production model from 1981. Now smartly finished in black with a complementary chocolate leather interior, it has been very carefully maintained. The comprehensive history includes timing belts replaced in 2017 and an overhaul of the fuel injection system.
It is a very low mileage car whose condition reflects the recent respray and sparing use.
