The Appeal

First introduced in 1948. The deux chevaux(-vapeur) - or ‘two steam horsepower’ - is one of the most iconic classics in history. Otherwise known by such quirky nicknames as the ‘tin snail’, there were over 9 million of the 2CV built, all in the same generation - with only minor updates and upgrades along the way. Frill-free, chattering motoring with a remarkably clever long-travel suspension - it was a winning formula.

This example has had its chassis galvanised and has been restored by the current owner. It carries a very unique Harlequin colour scheme that’s sure to make it the perfect motor for the self-pronounced eccentric.

2CV design pillows should make the legendarily spartan seats a little more comfortable!

Roll-up roof fabric is nicely kept with no issues
Door cards - what little there are - in good condition with some wear
Floors look solid, protected by rubber floor mats
Boot is in good order, with aftermarket lining and a spare wheel
