The Appeal
The Americans have always had a penchant for comfortable roadsters with V8 engines, so it's no surprise that the Mecedes-Benz R107 SL sold particularly well in the United States. Rumour has it that it was even dubbed the "German Corvette" by some!
Here we have a lovely 380 which has spent most of its life in sunny California. As a result, it remains in fantastic condition, with no signs of the corrosion that unfortunately haunts many SLs that have lived in more temperate climes. It rmains in highly original condition, so is sure to be of great interest to collectors.
