The Appeal
Upon its initial release, the E30 BMW 3-Series was not available in a convertible form. With customers crying out for a drop-top version, German coachbuilder Baur designed a ‘Top Cabriolet’ conversion kit that became part of the official BMW range for many years.
Replacing the body’s sheet metal with fabric, this ‘TC2’ version of the E30 retains the coupe’s roof line in a very classy way. In fact, this version of the car distinguishes itself greatly from the later true cabriolet model.
This particular car, featuring the 320i powertrain was first produced in 1986 and was purchased by its current owner in 2020. Since then, it has received some light cosmetic work including a front end respray and reportedly runs well.
A brilliant piece of BMW history, this E30 Baur is ready to find a new home and provide plenty of excellent hair-in-the-wind miles to its new owners.

- If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
- If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.

Pre-authorisation
We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.
