The Appeal
Built from 1948 to 1990, the Citroën 2CV has gone down in history as one of Europe’s most innovative cars. With remarkable long-travel suspension and a fabric roof, these simple, utilitarian but characterful cars managed to become nothing short of an icon.
In 1985, the ‘Dolly’ hit the market, with elegant art-deco styling and an extensive marketing regime helping break records for the 2CV in the UK and Germany. It was a stroke of genius, and kept the car fashionable right up until the end of production.
This example comes to us in good order, with an MOT all the way up until October 2024 and a solid chassis that’s in excellent order.

- Grey fabric interior with only light signs of wear
- We note some scratches and crackling to the binnacle
- However, the instruments themselves are clean and easy to read
- Floors look in good condition with no significant issues
