The Appeal
The Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk2 is an icon of the hot hatch era, combining practicality with performance.
Finished in a popular colour, this example has been extensively restored recently. This includes a body restoration and respray in 2021 and engine rebuild in winter 2022.
As an enthusiast-owned car it has clearly been cared for, including attending several shows in recent years. The addition of new wheels and tyres - costing £1,500 alone - plus a stainless steel exhaust and Mintex calipers/brakes fitted in 2022, make this very usable and smart example of a brilliant car.
