The Appeal
The Mini Sprite was among the final incarnations of the original Mini, retaining all the character and charm of Issigonis' iconic design as its dedicated fanbase insisted. No reinventing of the wheel - just standardisation. By now, the Mini only had the 1275cc available to it, and by 1994 it was enjoying multi-point fuel injection.
In 2019 the owner decided to bring the car to Spain, which is where is went through a total rebuild and styling by Mini World, Estepona. The owner then enjoyed the next 5 years using the Mini on special days to visit interesting places like Ronda. At the start of 2026, his beloved Mini returned to the UK and is now ready for another owner to continue a love affair with the lovely car.

This 1995 Sprite has been in the current owner's care for several years and was treated to a thorough overhaul in 2020, as well as the deletion of the bumpers and badging to create a streamlined, wholly more sporty profile. With 48,732 miles on the clock and a long MOT, it ticks plenty of boxes, and we reckon it'll prove a highly rewarding classic car.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
