Complete with removable hard top and folding soft top - both in very good condition
Superbly presented inside, out and especially underneath
MOT valid until 21st September 2024
The Appeal
The mid-engined MGF was an ambitious project for MG, faced with fresh opposition in the convertible sports car market from the likes of Mazda and Lotus. The gamble paid off though, thanks in part to the supremely capable Rover K Series engine that nestled amidships.
This 1997 1.8-litre VVC example is remarkably smart for its age and is superbly presented inside, out and especially underneath. The bodywork looks immensely straight and solid, with no notable imperfections barre the odd scratch and stone chips. There are just 40,541 miles indicated and while we’re unable to verify its accuracy, the condition of the car would certainly support it being correct.
Offered with an MOT until September 2024, its original book pack and a collection of old MOT certificates, this is surely one of the best MGFs around.
