The Appeal
When Jaguar’s classically styled XJ saloon finally got the V8 it deserved, it transformed the model. Buyers got the heritage-inspired styling they revered with the effortless urge of the new AJV8 motor.
Those qualities explain why this final iteration of the classic XJ40 car is proving so popular with enthusiasts today. These cars work well as daily drivers but are increasingly being preserved for show displays and sparing weekend use.
This lovely 1998 3.2 Sport is a good candidate for that gentler, cossetted life because it is in very good condition and has been well looked after. Many of the previous keepers have been Jaguar Enthusiast Club owners and collectors.
Classically finished in British Racing Green with an Oatmeal leather interior, it is solid in all the places you want these cars to be and comes with a long MOT with no structural advisories. There is evidence of previous professional underbody repairs to maintain the condition.
Recently serviced by specialist XJ Engineering at a cost of £1,000, this well maintained car is ready for another enthusiast keeper to own and cherish it.

- New Avon rear tyres fitted in October 2022 to matchin fronts
- Front grill and rear boot lid plinth upgraded to Executive chrome
- Grill slats upgraded to XJR mesh with original slats supplied

- Dark wood walnut veneers in good order throughout
- Factory standard Jaguar entertainment system functions correctly with code included
