The Appeal
The Mini has established itself as one of the most legendary cars in motoring history. It's so eminently drivable, economical, and well-supported that classic examples continue to rack up impressive mileages. After all, that little A-Series is a fuss-free four-pot that's easy to work on, and everything from drivetrains to body shells can be found with relative ease.
So when one comes along with only three digits on the clock, it's going to get folks very excited. This Mini is about as close to brand new as a 27-year-old car can get, having only been driven from the John Cooper Works to the original owner's house in Cornwall when it was brand new.
To top it off, it's a Multi-point-injection Cooper S Touring, just about the most desirable spec for a 90s Mini and now about as rare as hen's teeth. This highly original Racing Green Mini has quite literally everything going for it, and after 27 years of storage is no doubt desperate to hit the asphalt.
Recommissioned and with a valid MOT until March 2026, this Mini is a real unicorn, and we expect it'll be enormously popular at auction.
