The Appeal
The Mitsubishi 3000GT is the rarer non-JDM sibling to the infamous GTO. WIth a fantastic 3l V6 twin turbo engine up front and a wide, low body the 3000GT is a quick car that’ll put a smile on anyone's face.
A true 90’s legend the 3000GT was sought after at the time and now they have become even harder to find. This 3000GT would be a perfect candidate for restoring one of these fantastic cars. Running and with six months MOT it only needs a little work to get back onto the road and whilst it would benefit from some cosmetic work, we think that once you drive it the only thing you’ll want to do is go and find some twisty A roads!

The Interior
- Classic 90’s Japanese styling
- Deep black leather seats front and rear in good condition aside from significant wear to the driver's seat upper bolster
- Fair overall condition for age
- The large boot presents very well complete with roll-out cover and spare wheel
- Carpeting and headlining present well
- Electric sunroof is fully functional
- Electric windows work well
- All of the gauges work, including turbo pressure and oil
- Door cards would benefit from some attention
The Exterior
- Finished in dark blue
- Wide and low stance looks fantastic
- Lenso alloy wheels with some light kerbing
- Headlight lenses show some fogging
- Extensive areas of lacquer peel, fading and small chips visible on most areas of the body
- One front light lens missing
- Electric rear spoiler works as it should
- All four tyres present well with plenty of tread
The Mechanics
- Runs well and idles smoothly
- The 3l V6 engine sounds simply fantastic with no unwanted noises
- Underside appears to be in good condition with evidence of recent work having been carried out as can be seen in the images
- Engine and engine bay present well with some room for cosmetic improvement
- The vendor reports that the power steering doesn’t currently function due to a leaking pipe for the rear wheel steering system
- The vendor informs us that they will replace the battery prior to sale as the car will not start with the current one - it does however bump start very easily
- Boost gauge shows good turbo pressure on acceleration
Summary
A fantastic car that would be perfect for light restoration, this 3000GT is everything that was great about the 90’s Japanese car scene; a big turbo’d engine, bold distinctive styling and packed full of technology.
