When Mercedes-Benz decided to challenge BMW's M sports cars, it did so with the elegance and quality typical of the three-pointed star. But elegance and refinement combined, less typically, with extreme performance and a truly menacing aura.
Equipped with the powerful M113 V8 with its unmistakable sound, the new AMGs were brutally fast when they had to be, but equally capable of being relaxed and comfortable when required.

One of only a few thousand produced, it offers its occupants very comprehensive equipment that includes a glass sunroof, full leather interior and the innovative COMAND navigation and entertainment system. It also pays homage to earlier Mercedes cars with stylish details such as the wood trim on the dashboard.
Under the bonnet the atmosphere is less relaxed, with a 5.4-litre version with 345 hp of the famous M113 engine. It is mated to an automatic transmission that reflects this car's dual personality - it can be a relaxed automatic or be used in the more engaging sequential setting.
