The Appeal

After years of languishing in the shadows of the hot hatch wars, in 2002 Alfa Romeo played its trump card. It dropped its legendary Busso V6 into the 147 to create the 245bhp GTA.
If you buy into the idea that every red-blooded petrolhead should own an Alfa Romeo - and why wouldn’t you - then the 147 GTA is the perfect place to start. That’s not just because of that V6, although we strongly recommend checking out this car’s engine bay photographs. Distinctive styling, smart teledials and nimble handling all make this one of the firm’s best modern-era cars. Even Jeremy Clarkson rated it.
Just 5,000 were built, of which very few were RHD examples like this one. It is pleasingly standard and fresh from a comprehensive restoration by the vendor.
This is a real treat for enthusiasts of brutally quick small cars and seems nailed on as a future Alfa Romeo classic.
