The Appeal
We value every car we list for auction, but this very tidy E46 particularly so. It was bought from a family friend by the previous keeper, the seller’s son, as a ‘wish list’ purchase when he became ill. Now inherited by his daughter, it is the sale of a much-loved and rather special car.
Even without that provenance, this would be a 3-Series to seriously consider. It is the popular 325 with the 190bhp M54 straight six, allied to a relaxing auto box with full automatic and semi-automatic modes. Then there is the colour scheme, a tasteful mix of dark Oxford Green metallic and beige leather with walnut trim that makes a pleasing change from the more common greys and silvers.
As you might expert of such a low mileage, cherished car, it is in really very good condition. There are few signs of age inside and out. Recent work includes new rear pads and a battery. The vendor tells us that the garage that did this work was complimentary about the car and reports that the extensive electrics, which includes many factory options, all work.
This is the sort of car you could use daily or reserve as a weekend treat. It comes to market with the added transparency of a long MOT to August 2026.
