The Attractions
The fifth generation Maserati saloon, simply called the Quattroporte, aimed to challenge the high-end German saloons. Classic four-door enthusiasts can now rejoice that this goal has not been entirely achieved, as it makes examples of these extremely valuable cars rare and therefore even more fascinating.
The Tipo M139 used Ferrari-derived technology for both its 4.2-litre F136 V8 engine and F1-style Graziano automatic gearbox, all clad in the unmistakable and fascinating Pininfarina-designed bodywork that characterises these understated cars.
This 2004 'DuoSelect' is fitted with that particularly desirable gearbox and features an attractive colour scheme. The seller informs us that Maserati has confirmed that this car has unique specifications.
