The Appeal
As one of the greatest rear-wheel drive sports cars ever built, it should perhaps come as no surprise that the Mazda MX-5 takes to the race track like a duck to water. This 2.0-litre MkIII example has been tuned to near 200 horsepower, while the body has been significantly lightened with the doors and front panel replaced by fibreglass items and all non-essentials stripped out. A full roll cage has also been added, along with racing seats four-point racing harnesses.
The vendor tells us:
"It has never let us down. We trust this car completely. It looks great and drives even better.
It comes with 2 sets of wheels and a set of wet weather tyres. We have plenty of photos and some videos of it on track. I have not raced it since I bought it in 2020. I have only used it for occasional track days. This car has raced in several MX5 Cup series. It has even been raced by Ray Grimes (previously a Chief Instructor for Ferrari UK)."
We're assured that the Mazda is serviced regularly and the wheel alignment is checked often. If you're an MX-5 Cup driver looking for a new car, or simply want a track day toy, this would be a great buy.image.png3.2 MB
