2008 Aston Martin DB9

Highlights

  • Full Aston Martin main dealer service history
  • Obsidian Black over cream leather interior
  • Long MOT to October 2024
  • V12 2+2 grand tourer

The Appeal

The DB9 was a new design of Aston Martin, with a firm foot in traditional, hand-crafted construction techniques and a thoroughly modern, technologically advanced feel.

The result is the kind of grand tourer that only Aston Martin could produce. Effortlessly quick and beautiful, the DB9 is probably one of the firm’s greatest cars. Increasingly collectable, it is also ideal for daily driving.
This well-maintained vehicle exhibits all those characteristics. From its exceptional contrasting colour scheme to its full Aston Martin service history and long MOT, this is a car that appeals equally to the head and the heart.

  • There has been additional service and maintenance work by Aston Martin subsequently
  • This is recorded in the service book which has 14 stamps to 61,681 miles on 8th July 2021
  • 2 keys with factory fob

The Condition

  • Attractive contrasting Obsidian Black metallic paintwork over cream leather interior
  • Well-presented car with no visible marks or stone chips to exterior
  • Smart 10-spoke 19” factory alloy wheels in good condition
  • The only mark to the alloys is a small area of kerbing to the offside rear rim
  • All wheels with quality Michelin tyres in good condition and tread
  • Underside in good order with no structural advisories on last MOT
  • Cream leather interior with contrasting black highlights in good condition
  • High specification and factory standard interior including front electrically operates seats with memory
  • Piano black highlights to doors and dashboard provide a neat contrast to the light leather
  • Only visible wear inside is to the driver’s seat bolster - easily repaired
  • Interior well presented - small marks visible to driver’s door leather

This 2008 car benefits from the 2007 facelift – most notably the rear lights – but retains the earlier car’s simpler fascia. It is a well-kept car in a compelling colour combination, the exterior additionally set off by 19” alloys.

There are few signs of age or use around the car, in particular to the bodywork which shows no scuffs or stone chips. The interior shows a couple of minor signs of use which could be easily remedied.

The Mechanics

  • 5,935cc hand-crafted V12 engine developing around 445bhp
  • 0-60mph in 4.7secs
  • 6-speed automatic gearbox with sequential shift option
  • Full main dealer service history with few miles since last visit
  • Comprehensive printout of maintenance work indicating fastidious owners
  • Advisory for two brake discs on last MOT

The DB9’s superlative V12 engine is a key ingredient in the car’s uniquely smooth and unflustered approach to progressing. It is a particularly characterful engine, and well-matched to a gearbox that allows relaxed fully automatic motoring or a more engaged sequential shifting approach.

Such an engine requires careful maintenance and this is a key area to check when buying these cars. This car firmly ticks that box having a well-maintained full main dealer record of work. It has covered few miles since the last service which is not due to mileage but is to time. A long MOT provides additional reassurance of the mechanical condition.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
