The Appeal
Following Indian independence in 1947, the new government sought a rugged motorcycle to patrol the borders and decided upon the British Royal Enfield Bullet. Partnering with Madras Motors to form ‘Enfield India’, the Bullet was made under license for decades to come, with Royal Enfield eventually becoming a company that’s one hundred per cent Indian owned.
Resplendent in military olive drab paintwork, this 2017 Bullet harks back to the bikes built for the Indian Army during the 1950s.
