Accident-damaged Taycan with little more than delivery mileage
Rear-end body repairs required
Many of the parts needed to repair the car are included
Still powers up and no damage to battery pack
The Appeal
If ever a car was going to go down in the history books, it’s the Porsche Taycan. Revealed at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, not only was it the company’s first electric model, but it was also the first to be offered as both a saloon or an estate (or GT, in Porsche parlance…).
It has been in high demand ever since and remains one of the most desirable and sought-after high-end electric cars, better-finished than a Tesla and blessed with Porsche’s traditionally incredible performance and handling.
This one is a 4S saloon – the four-wheel-drive model, with a 79.5kWh battery and 523hp electric motor – a quick car by anyone’s standards. However, it’s also accident damaged. An Australian Market car, it has covered a mere 72 miles from new but has sustained hard to medium rear-end damage. It has been imported to the UK, all duties and taxes paid and many of the parts required to repair it have been sourced by the vendor, such as a new rear sub frame from Porsche and a rear screen.
Put it all back together and you’ll have a pretty much as-new Taycan for a fraction of the price of a new one.
The History and Paperwork
Original VicRoads dealer permit form Australia
Never registered – appears to have sustained damage in transit
Only 72 miles recorded
All Nova paperwork included to show car can be registered in the UK
Unregistered – will require first registration once repaired
Porsche Certificate of Conformity
Invoices for over £12,500 worth of parts acquired to repair the accident damage
One key
The Condition
As new other than obvious rear end damage
Extensive collision damage to rear end
Small scuff on front bumper presumably from same incident
Minor damage to rear wheel arch edge
Evidence of damage to underside and rear suspension
Broken rear window
Black leather interior in great order
Huge specification
Dash lights up correctly
All interior functions appear to work as intended
Charging cables included
Please study the photos carefully to make a decision about the Taycan’s overall condition – the accident damage to the rear is quite extensive and some structural repairs will be required, as well as repairs to the rear suspension, wiring, airlines and a replacement window glass.
The good news is that a lot of these parts come with the car, and the vendor has spent over £12,500 gathering them together. These include a boot floor, from Porsche, and complete tailgate.
Other than the rear end damage, there’s also a small mark on the front bumper and some minor damage to the leading edge of one wheelarch, which were most likely incurred at the same time as the main collision. The vendor also advises that both rear quarter panel will also require repair . The offside is very slightly damaged and nearside damaged more so.
Inside, the car is in good order. The black leather seats are as-new and most of the interior is in good order. The airbags do not appear to have been deployed and the dash lights up as it should when switched on, with all key functions appearing to operate.
The Mechanics
79.5kWh battery
523hp electric motor
Battery pack appears okay
Rear suspension will need repair
This is the 532hp Taycan, with a 79.5kWh battery pack and an electric range of 333 miles based on the WLTP measurement protocol used for electric vehicles. It is, in essence, almost unused and it still powers up despite the accident damage. It will, of course, require a full inspection before being returned to the road.

About Max Bids
The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.
Anti-sniping
Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.
Auto-bidding increments
If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Automatically outbid immediately
When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.
You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.
Matching max bids
When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.
Pre-authorisation
We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.
What are pre-bids?
A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.
