Motodrome offer for sale this 1963/ 4 example of the ever-popular Land Rover Series IIa, this one an ex-military 88in petrol model
This one’s official designation was Truck, GS FFR ¼ ton 4x4 Rover 8, and the military number for this one was 83 EL 73,
When it left the military it was registered as a 1972 vehicle as was the practice at the time, although we think it was manufactured in 1963.
Spec-wise it seems to retain most of it’s early and military features (with the exception of the radio gear) including oil cooler, twin fuel tanks, bonnet mounted spare wheel, and rear bumperettes. Also fitted with a matching set of 4 750x16 tyres, towbar, and inertia reel seat belts
Odometer reading 69500 miles, and it’s fitted with a 2. 25 military recon motor.
Although legally it no longer requires an MOT, I’m pleased to note it has an MOT to February 2022.
