SUMMARY
Originally supplied by Portman Mercedes, Manchester, this is a beautiful example of the increasingly sought after W201 190. The gentleman I bought this car from in October 2107 had purchased it, as a three year old approved used car, from a well respected prestige car dealership in 1995, for the not insignificant sum of £18, 000; he told me that at the time, "he had to sell the family silver to afford it!". It subsequently remained in his family for the next 22 years, and has passed from him, to his father, then his son and then back to him again. Throughout all of that time, it's been a much cherished vehicle and as a result has been impeccably maintained. This is all fully documented; the car comes with a very, very comprehensive service history comprising of a large A4 lever arch file of supporting paperwork, as well as the original service booklet, which now contains 28 stamps, the majority being from Mercedes main dealerships or respected MB specialists.
I have to say this is one of the nicest W201's that has passed through my hands in quite some time; the condition is truly immaculate both inside and out, with bodywork being among the very best I've seem on a W201 (at the last count I've had 128 W201's pass through my hands over the last 13 years, so I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly!)
So if you're in the market for quality W201, this surely must fit the bill. I agree there are cheaper examples out there, but not many will come close to the standard of this one. It's an exceptional, extremely well maintained and cherished vehicle in pristine condition, and with the way the values of the W201 are going at the moment, it will be the best examples, like this, that will appreciate the most.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don’t just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won’t notice…I just couldn’t do that.
