The Kawasaki ZXR 750 is one of the most desirable sports bike bikes to come out of the 80's, and it was bred as a endurance machine for the World Superstock. It’s a real looker, with sleek twin headlamps that lean forward from the classic bubble shape up front. The dual pipes that lead into the fuel tank are all business- although they don’t actually do anything except look really cool. The lines of this bike are poised and powerful with a bulge around the engine to give it a terse look- like it’s ready for action at any moment. A sturdy aluminium frames blocks out the lowers, and dominates the profile of the bike, flowing parallel to the fuel tank. It’s definitely a bike that takes styling cues from from its generation, but it is all done so well that it looks lovely on the roads today. This bike has had an incredibly long list of parts and time put into it that can’t really be listed here - but all in all this bike is in incredible mechanical condition.
The motor is the centre piece of this bike however, with a lovely sounding 748cc inline-4 screamer. The motor is a DOHC, and liquid cooled for efficiency and to meet regulations of the time. The total output is a fantastic 100bhp, and a revvy 10k rpm redline so the ZXR750 is very rapid off the line.
Also it’s a very desirable bike. It looks the part, and makes a great and incredibly focused track bike. Its also a fantastic summer bike that is in its element carving through country backroads.
