British Leyland announced in late 1974 that the 50th anniversary of MG cars was to be celebrated by the production of a limited edition of 750 ‘Jubilee’ models. In order to make the car stand out they used a colour scheme of British Racing Green with gold stripes incorporating the Jubilee logo. Other badges on the car were gold rather than silver, and the wheels had gold detailing. Internally the car had carpets instead of rubber mats, black cloth seats with headrests and tinted glass. This particular example was number 221. It is reasonably sound car with a nice interior but paintwork needs attention. In its present ownership it has had regular servicing, a new clutch, steering rack and tyres. Comes with a huge history file, is running very well but is probably best regarded as a rolling restoration.
