DESCRIPTION:
We present for sale this stunning low mileage late production Golf mk2 GTi in classic Tornado Red, with contrasting Grey Cloth sports interior from 1991.
The car remains in standard, factory specification throughout and presents beautifully with clean, straight bodywork and immaculate showroom fresh interior.
This example has escaped the usual modifications such as aftermarket stereo’s, alarm systems and body styling and remains completely standard and original. The seats show no signs of wear, the original Panasonic radio cassette with pull up aerial remain and work perfectly, the original space saver wheel and toolkit remain untouched.
The car also still wears its original ‘Ian Skelly’ supplying dealership window sticker and registration plates.
The car drives as well as it looks with a light clutch, positive smooth gear change and beautifully balanced steering. The engine revs freely and pulls well in each gear reminding you just how much fun can be had with little more than 100bhp!

HISTORY:
This GTi was first registered on 14th August 1991 at Ian Skelly VW, Glasgow to a Mrs. A Cambell of Wishaw. The service book shows the supplying dealer also serviced and maintained the car until 1995. The car passed through a second owner before the current owner and car collector purchased the car in April 2006.
The car has remained part of a private indoor collection for 12 years until being recently recommissioned for re-sale. This work included:-
