1997 Bimota YB9 SRI
One of only 225 SRI (fuel injected) versions. Not to be confused with the earlier carburettor version!
4600 Kms from new. Just serviced at a cost of nearly £1000
New Tyres and MOT
Runs beautifully and sounds amazing.
A bullet proof 4Cyl Japanese Engine in an Italian frame with Paioli suspension. Lots of carbon fibre trim. Looks absolutely stunning, hard to find another in this condition with such low mileage.
“... The YB9 SRI was launched in 1996 to replace the carburetted YB9 SR. The SRI was unique at the time because it was the only 600cc fuel-injected bike and remained so until the Triumph TT600 appeared in 2000. The SRI design was typical of Bimota’s efforts at the time. The Rimini based firm bought FZR600R and Thundercat engines from Yamaha, then installed them in the firms custom built supersport chassis. A racing aluminium frame was festooned with the highest quality chassis components available, and the engine fitted with Bimota’s own intake and exhaust systems. The Result was an exotic sports machine at it’s best on the track but also finished to a very high, if occasionally inconsistent, standard!”
