Beschreibung
Collector’s grade 2nd series example: one owner, low mileage, original factory paint.
History of this car
A left hand drive, standard Tipo 818. 630 model, our car was registered new in Rome on 31. 7. 1973 to a gentleman who would continue to own this delightful Fulvia until 2017, only selling when he was 90 years of age.
We have owned over 100 Fulvias and seen many more but this car stands out as it still wears some of it’s factory paint, in a rare colour Beige Mirabello.
Our car also boasts Cromodora mag wheels and has benefitted from a major recommissioning programme in Italy prior to importation here in 2018. The indicated 70k klms from new is believed accurate.
Sold with an age related UK registration.
Bodywork
Our car is finished in the original delivery colour. The paint is either factory original or it has had selective repainting a very long time ago. The paint is very thin and paint gauge depth readings are new car levels.
Due to age, the presentation is therefore with patina. Please don’t expect a showroom fresh finish as there are various marks on most panels, either touched in dings or places where the paint has been polished to the primer coat. It’s a preservation class car and not a trailer queen.
However, for once with a classic car, what you see is what you get!
The chassis is reference quality on this car. No more to say – factory fresh and rust and accident repair free.
Mechanicals
This Fulvia drives tightly and sweetly and is a superb driver, with correct pliant ride, powerful quiet engine and sweet transaxle. Our car has been fitted, maybe from new – with a cool looking “Electronic Racing” ignition module.
After years of storage this special Lancia has received a sensitive recommissioning in Italy comprised of a compete fuel system overhaul (tank, lines, carbs), full engine service, all new oils, brake overhaul, cooling system overhaul (hoses, water pump, radiator), exhaust and new tyres.
The engine bay presents just right with authentic finishes throughout.
New MOT until July 2019.
Interior
In genuinely delightful, untouched condition. Wonderfully comfortable seats, perfect undamaged rubber matting (protective covers supplied), perfect dashboard and even the clock works (rare on a Fulvia).
Boot
As you’d expect of such an example, this is complete with undamaged matting, spare wheel with tie down and protective cover, correct Battaini jack (appears unused) and a full toolkit.
Summary
Time warp is a cliché but this car is really just that. This is a car for the Lancia collector and a great investment; if you think it might be for you, don’t hesitate as it could be many, many years before an equivalent example comes to market.
Supplied with the original owner’s manual and PRA report covering ownership and provenance.
